Who we are looking for
We prioritize the voices of queer Canadian authors and comic artists, but our press is open to all.
As this is a new small press, our scope is best suited to newbie authors. We will work with you to make this book the best it can be!
What we are looking for
We are seeking fiction that falls into the gorgeous venn diagram of “creepy”, “weird”, and “erotic”. We believe in occupying the niche of fringe fiction. We love things that go bump in the night, we love them even more if they are strange and unexpected, and we love them the most if they turn us on a little bit.
We want work with good storytelling, good characters, and good heart.
What we are not looking for
Currently, we are not seeking nonfiction or poetry work.
What you will need for a prose book
- A one sentence log line with a one page story summary (brevity is wit!)
- A 10 page sample of writing
What you will need for a graphic novel
- A one sentence log line with a story summary
- A 10 page script and/or thumbnailing example
- Character sketches
- Five (mostly) finished pages
